The company must know the hours the driver is to be available in order to properly quote and dispatch your trip.

Don't be afraid to ask questions about the company. How long have they been providing charter services, when were they established, etc.

What are the company's DOT and DOD Safety ratings?
A "Satisfactory" rating is the highest rating available from the Department of Transportation. You should never charter from someone with an unsatisfactory rating. The Department of Defense, DOD, rating may be from a 1 to 5 with a 1 being the highest rating and a 5 the lowest. The DOD inspection is quite thorough and a company with a 1 rating is doing everything necessary to operate safely.
Brazos Valley Travel is extremely proud of the Satisfactory rating, the highest rating, from the USDOT and Number 1 rating from the Department of Defense.
Don't be intimidated
Feel free to ask questions and request references. Never charter from a company that is unwilling to answer your question or refuses to furnish you with references of groups similar to yours traveling on similar type trips.

Is the company adhering to Department of Transportation driver regulations?
The DOT limits drivers to 15 hours of continuous service, although they may drive only 10 hours during that duration. If your itinerary requires more than the limit, ask how the company will handle it.
Brazos Valley Travel adheres to all TXDOT and USDOT regulations.
What are the company's procedures for roadside emergencies?
The company should have a plan in place for contacting those necessary for assisting with roadside emergencies and/or situations.
Brazos Valley Travel is affiliated with numerous professional organizations and has worked with numerous motorcoach companies throughout the US and Canada.
Is the company or its vehicles available for inspection?
You should always be welcomed to inspect the company's Motorcoaches or facilities.
Brazos Valley Travel maintains an "open door" policy for visitors. We are very proud to "show off" our facilities and equipment.
Are video systems available on the coaches?
Whether it be for serious study or fun movies Video/Stereo systems with working microphones can be of great assistance on a trip.
All Brazos Valley coaches are equipped with DVD Video Systems featuring large flat screen monitors. Also, all Brazos Valley coaches are licensed to view movies through Motorcoach Movies so you don't have tio concern yourself about the FBI warning at the beginning of the movie. You, along with Brazos Valley Travel, are not breaking the law!
Who pays for the driver's hotel?
You will want to know who is responsible for the driver's room and if the driver needs to be at the same hotel as the group.
At Brazos Valley Travel, the customer is responsible for the reservation and payment of all driver's single accommodations.
Who is responsible for extra costs incurred along the way, such as additional mileage, parking fees, etc?
Find out the company's policy before your trip.
Brazos Valley Travel makes every attempt to include all charges into your quote. However, billing will be issued for additional mileage or time incurred not noted in the original charter contract.
