Day 1

Our first night on the road, as we head for our Ohio Adventure, will be spent in Memphis, Tennessee.

Day 2

This day will find us in Covington, Kentucky. We will be staying on the Ohio Riverfront. We will have a gourmet dinner and afterwards we will be entertained by singer Pam Thompson. She will transport you through the USA with music and fun.

Day 3

We will start the day with a trip to the Queen City, Cincinnati Ohio. We will be given a guided tour of the city. We will see everything from the "Garden of Eden" to the headquarters of Proctor and Gamble to the World"s Peace bell. Next we will go to the Creation Museum. This is a unique experience. This state-of-the-art 65,000 square foot museum brings the pages of the Bible to life. Then we will get back on the road and travel to New Philadelphia, Ohio where we will spend the next four nights. Dinner and entertainment tonight will be at Dutch Valley.

Day 4

We meet our tour guide who will be sharing with us throughout the day the history and the highlights of the World"s Largest Amish Community. A visit to the Behalt (meaning to keep or remember) is our next stop. We will next go to the Care-and-Share Baskets. It offers uniquely handcrafted baskets, quilts, and gift items. A visit to the newly expanded Lehman"s General Store will give us the opportunity to shop where the Amish shop. A walk across the street will put us at Mount Hope Flea Market & Auction. Broad Run Cheesehouse and Swiss Heritage Winery are celebrating 70 years of cheese making. We will take a cheese making tour and wine tasting. For dinner we will enjoy a simpler way of life. We will dine at an Amish Home.

Day 5

Today we will meet our tour guide and travel to Canton Ohio. We will enjoy a guided tour of the city. We will get to take a nostalgic train ride along miles of track through the heart of Cuyahoga Nation Recreation Area. Next will be a guided tour of Stan Hywet Mansion. This fabulous mansion and gardens was built between 1912 and 1915 by a F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire and Rubber. We will then tour the Canton Classic Car Museum. It has almost 50 vehicles dating from 1904-1981. Our final stop before dinner will be the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where the greats of Pro Football are honored. Dinner will be at the 356th Fighter Group Restaurant. This will take us back in time to the sights and sounds of the 40"s

Day 6

We will start our day with a visit to the Longaberger Headquarters. It is housed in a seven story basket shaped building. From there we will go to the Longaberger Complex. The complex resembles an old-fashioned town, sprawling across 24 acres. The handful of buildings includes the early 1900"s Crawford Barn, where visitors can make their own baskets and browse the quilt loft. To learn more about the history of the Longaberger Company, visit the replica of the family home and the original J.W.'s Workshop. Next we will travel to Roscoe Village Apple butter Stirring Festival. This should be a good time. It combines the beauty of autumn with crafts, live music, and apple butter simmering over an open fire. From there we will go to the Ohio-Erie Canal. We will take a leisurely boat ride powered by two Belgian horses and manned by a storytelling captain. Dinner will be at the Warehouse Restaurant in Roscoe Village. It was built in 1830 and was originally a Mill Store.

Day 7

This day will begin with a trip to Swiss Village Bulk Store in Sugarcreek (Little Switzerland). This is considered to be the best bulk store in Amish Country. It has everything imaginable. Next is the Rolling Ridge Ranch. This is a guided covered wagon tour of 80 acres and over 350 exotic animals. You will have a feed bucket and will be able to feed the animals. After lunch we will go to Yoder"s Amish Farm and Home. This is a tour of an 1800"s Amish style farm home. We will visit the barn, the one room school, and take a leisurely buggy ride. After this we will go to the Warthers Carvings. Earnest Warthers is best known for his ivory and ebony carvings. When you see his work you will be in awe. Take time to visit Mrs. Warthers Swiss Garden and Button House.

Day 8

Well, our time in the Ohio Amish Country has come to an end and today we will start home. We will tour the Louisville Slugger Museum. We will see how the Louisville Slugger Bats are made. We will see displays of famous bats such as the bat used by Joe DiMaggio in 1941. Dinner tonight will be at The Derby Dinner Playhouse. This is one of the oldest and largest Dinner theatres in the country.

Day 9

Today we will tour the Fort Campbell Military Base. It is the home of the famed 101st Airborne Division"s Screaming Eagles (Air Assault). We will tour their museum which traces their history from WWII to current day. We will view various aircraft, equipment, and monuments. We will also enjoy a guided tour of the post. Lunch will be at a Military Dining Facility. We will eat like the soldiers and have a chance to visit with them, too. Next, we will tour a Tobacco Farm. This area was once Tobacco King, the second largest tobacco market in the United States. We will learn all about tobacco, view the process, and even talk with the farmer. Tonight will put us back in Memphis.

Day 10

Unfortunately today is the last day of our trip, but haven"t we had lots of fun and memories?
